My number one beer for the event! It was a great beer, with a lot of hops and tons of citrus flavor. It was a orange amber color with a white head. It had great body, not too heavy and not too light. I can see why this would be a spring beer, it’s just right. Quite tasty!

Aroma of hops and malt. Burnt malt, hops, and citrus come through in the flavor. This medium bodied ber is not bad and a touch different. Silphium (2137), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 27, 2009 On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. A hazy red-orange pale ale with a resinous, floral, citrusy nose and a rich body with berries, sugared toast, and big, potent, piney, floral hops. Long, bitter, somewhat astringent finish. A pretty big beer for something without the word "imperial" in the title. ElDuderino (141), Roslindale, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2009 On tap at The Roadhouse, golden body with a one finger white head. Nose is piney and floral and the flavor follows suit. Stong dry-hopped flavors attack your tongue and a brigade of light malts soak up a lot of the bitters. Finish is slighty sweet with very little citrus notes still swirling around. Turns much more malty as it warms. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA

Light copper color, thin half inch off white head that lasts and laces well. Sharp citrus hops on the nose. Flavor balances more; medium clean bitterness, caramel and toffee malt flavors, more hop flavor than bitterness or aroma- C-hop citrus notes in abundance. Crisp and clean on the palate with some light lingering bitterness. Very good pale ale. kmweaver (2463), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Draft @ Shorts. Pours a clear, bright honey-orange color; off-white head with great retention and fine-bubbled lacing; a gorgeous pour. Solid amounts of earthy and citrus bitterness in the aroma; good levels of acidity; resiny, dense, and very solid citrus-laden nose. Medium mouthfeel: resiny, earthy and citrus bitterness with a nicely soft, earthly malt core; solid amounts of carbonation; good levels of acidity; very drinkable, generous, tasty pale ale. Solid rendition. Medium finish: earthy malts, some citrus, and just a touch of chocolate malts; nicely toasty, resiny, and dry end. hombrepalo (769), Chicago, Illinois, USA
