May 19, 2008 Aroma of flowers, citrus and grass. Medium bodied with an orange amber hue. Average sized off white head that mostly diminished. Flavor has nice tones of citrus, hay, resin, and finishes with a good bitterness. Watery soft and quite drinkable. Nice crispy bitters on the finish. A good representation of the style.

May 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. The body is hazy amber gold with a white head. The aroma was massive grapefruit with some almonds. The taste was strong grapefruit with some pecans. A nice clean and floral bitter finish. A great IPA.

Apr 20, 2008 On Tap at Shakesphere in Kalamazoo. Color was somewhat unique,a copper orange ,very citrusy aroma,also unique ,more orangish then grapefruit,taste was an explosion of all the hop pine ,grapefruit, and again ,lots of orange,a juicy malty sweetness for balance, a finish like I was sucking on an orange rind,a little heavier body would have made this outstanding, but a real treat nonetheless

Mar 22, 2008 On tap. Pours hazy golden amber color with a medium white head. Aroma is grapefruit, orange, floral, caramel. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, light caramel. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes bitter. Decent hop bomb.

Mar 17, 2008 On draft at HopCatz. Golden amber in color with a sizable head. Smell is all hops. Resiny and floral. Right there with some of the better made IPA’s. Mouthfeel was crisp and smooth for the amount of hops present. Really enjoyed the pint and didn’t tire of drinking it. Very good.

Mar 16, 2008 Draft. Small off-white head and fine-small sized bubbles. Uncarbonated, cloudy and a butterscotch hue. All I could get from the aroma and from the flavor was hops. Tingly and hoppy palate. Light bodied beer typical IPA.

Feb 10, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a murky medium orange color. Head was off white, thick, and creamy with a yellowish tinge. Retention and lacing were good. Very attractive beer. Aroma was of grapefruit and flower blossom. Slightly sweet on the tongue with moderate hop bitterness of about 6 out of 10. The strong malty caramel backbone was well balanced with the pleasant grapefruity/sprucy hops. The malt presence was greater than that of the Golden Rule (their organic English IPA). Good beer.

Feb 3, 2008 Exactly what the description says. A complex IPA, but very well done.
On tap at Hopcat in GR.
Very nice hoppy scent and flavor instantly.
Thicker looking than a lot of IPAs out there, almost looks like a double.
Almost rivals Bells Two Hearted with an aftertaste that sticks with you. Full everything. A little dry at the end which wasn’t really a bad thing by any means. A pleasure. Great full hops throughout.
