Thinnish black, frothy bubbly head. Faint burnt bread aroma, lots of coffee. Strange contrast of thin and sharp, not enough to hold back the sting.

Pours black with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste is mellow but malty and sweet with chocolate leading to a light roast coffee finish. Minimal on the hops. This is great stuff.

750ml bottle via alexsdad6. Shared with dalekliz and my girlfriend. Liz likes to try shorts and I made an executive decision to open this tonight. Not the best ratings but we’ll see. Pours black with a tan head. Overall nice pour, Nose is sweet and roasty and with some clear carob notes. Taste is rich with a bit of cocoa but a lot of carob perhaps too much. This is really quite good with some coffee in there too, but I don’t know if its my feelings for carob or what but there is some cloying feeling in here too.

Big bottle (thanks Joey) pours like diner coffee and has aroma of Nescafe with bourbon. Good clarity and deep brown color with ruby hue, no head. Medium body with flavors of carob and cocoa along with instant coffee.

Sasparilla appearance with thin spread of head. Aroma full of baker’s chocolate. Off-chocolate flavor tastes artificial and is reminiscent of lactose sour-sweetness. ABV is well masked, but other than that, just a middling stout.

750. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Jet black with rubied highlights in the corners. Light creamy tan head. Big chocolatey coffee nose. Creamy body on the high side of medium. Baking chocolate, milk chocolate, and coffee mid-palate. Mild finish.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Medium sized dense chocolate brown head. Aroma of chocolate, spice, light fruits and cocoa in the aroma. Flavour of spice, chocolate, light coffee, light smoke, Medium to full bodied Light dry. Ends on a chocolaty and light roasted note. Quite nice and easy to drink.
