| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Appearance: Pours a dark brown body, though with only a scant, off-white head.
Smell: Roasty, grainy aroma smelling fairly chocolatey and a bit like fresh-brewed coffee.
Taste: Roast and an intensely dark chocolate-esque flavor with a subtle sweetness. Tastes of burnt marshmallows and cookie crumbs. Hint of bitterish tree bark. Fairly roasty throughout, particularly on the otherwise creamy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Rather enjoyable! It’s good to see carob finally making a much-needed comeback. One of the tasties carob-based beers that have ever been. heemer77 (4309), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The taste was chocolate and bread. Notes and plums and coffee come through. Nicely made. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This Imperial Stout pours a deep black color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee and carob. A medium bodied Imperial Stout. The malts are chocolate and coffee and the carob adds a slightly different spin to an imperial stout. The hops were earthy. It is an imperial stout, but not quite. The carob adds an interesting flavor profile to the beer, but it also seems to thin out the body a little. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish si clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 3, 2008 a bit thin but good flavor. This seems to be an interesting brewery, but this beer came across as just another imperial stout, although a bit thin. JohnC (2279), Mission Viejo, California, USA

This was so much the same RIS you’ve had before but very different at the same time. Pours dark in color with no head. Taste is a much different choco profile than I ever have tasted. Somewhat crisp on the mouthfeel. Good, clean dark chocolate and roasted taste. Great beer. railcat1 (582), Orlando, Florida, USA
