courtesy of the Shorts tasting night group. early ’07 bottle. bottle#543 Pours a puree reddish mesh of berrie. Aroma was indeed intense in berries, not getting too much fruit tartness but just berry goodness where all the berries added to an overall sublime fruit bomb. Flavor, strong puree mesh of berries with hints of spices, some yeast not too much tartness and sourness. Overall beer could score a little higher if it was not for the berries being almost too much. Berries were there but could not really put on apart from each other.

Deep red, white foam. Full aromas of fruit flattened by malt, with a hint of acid - much like a lambic. Flavor is rich and fruity, with malt supporting and slight hints of acid and bitterness. The result is a kind of musky aroma, unusual though not unpleasant. Has a bright, clean mouthfeel not entirely in accord with the strength of the flavors. A pretty good novelty beer; wouldn’t drink it all night.

Bottled. Reddish coloured. Unclear. White head with reddish gleam. Strawberry and raspberry in the aroma. Flavour as well full of rasp and strawberries. Can’t really taste the blueberries and the blackberries, but its berries isn’t it. Quite balanced and a tad too sweet in my book. Nice bodied. Is full of berries in the end with a light sourish edge.

750ml bottle 481/1005 7/14/09 (Shorts Brewing)-Pours a clear amber with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of raspberry and other berries. Taste of berries and more berries. This light to medium bodied brew is very well balanced and quite refreshing. Great job.

Tasted 2009-06-02. Pours orange, hazy with almost no head. Very fruity and very malty. A somewhat bitter finnish. The fruityness and the maltiness blends together very nicely leaving a strong aroma of strawberries (which is like the only berry in the world, that’s not actually in this beer). It’s very drinkable and very enjoyable.
