Bottled (Pikkulintu). Deep cherry red color, reddish small head. Very berryish aroma, blackberry and strawberry. Flavor is ... like drinking fruit yoghurt. Alcohol, berries, sticky, some bitterness in the finish. This is odd berry porridge. Dry blueberry finish.

0.75 l bottle at Konttori, Tampere. Hazy red color. Sweet berryish, perfumed and candyish aroma with notes of raspberry. Sweet berryish flavor with raspberry, strawberry and some acidic sharpness. Not beery, more like a fruit coctail. Nevertheless, tasty and pleasant drink.

750mL bottle #445, courtesy of HopHobo poured into a snifter. Pours a hazy reddish amber that settles in reddish brown in the glass underneath a big tan head that recedes slowly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is big on this one and sweet with fruits, strawberries nd raspberries being the most prominent for me. Plenty of brown sugar sweetness as well. Overall, a very sweet perfume-like nose. The taste has the same fruity sweetness but only after an initial tartness from the blackberries and blueberries which wasn’t nearly as noticeable in the nose. The malts and sugars form a solid base and the finish is a mix of sweet and tart fruits and a hint of alcohol burn. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty slick with less than moderate carbonation. The fruits linger on the palate and the brew is dry overall. Another very original beer from Shorts and one of the better fruit beers I’ve had in a long time.

Bottled@Konttori, Tampere. Hazy ambery brown colour with small beige head. Aroma is strawberry, raspberry with some strange sweetness. Also quite much sour wooden notes. Flavour is a lot of raspberry with some rather dry wooden and grassy notes in the aftertaste. Quite sweet’n’sour meets total dryness. Once warm also the yeast gives it’s touch to the beer.

Bottle 75cl. @ [ Shorts Tasting ].
Unclear hazy red amber blue color with a small to average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy berry, blueberry, blackberry, light to moderate strawberry, oak, alcohol. Flavor is light heavy sweet and light light blackcurrants and strawbeery acidic with a long duration, and a dry tart finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish is heavy alcoholic. [20081108]

Draft @ Shorts. Pours a hazy orange/pink/amber color with a medium sized pinkish head. The aroma was very fruity; strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, thrown together and mixed with a touch of sugar. The flavor opens with the same burst of fruit; berries that have been freshly picked, mild sweetness, and a slight herbal quality. Midway the fruits fade and the finish is dry pale malt and slightly bitter. Medium-full bodied. The alcohol remains hidden throughout.
