Tasted 2009-06-02. Pours orange, hazy with almost no head. Very fruity and very malty. A somewhat bitter finnish. The fruityness and the maltiness blends together very nicely leaving a strong aroma of strawberries (which is like the only berry in the world, that’s not actually in this beer). It’s very drinkable and very enjoyable.

750ml bottle acquired in trade with hoppymeal (thanks!). Bottle # 228/1005. Poured a medium to deeper and muddy reddish/purplish/brownish color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of lots of different berries (strawberies, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries). I would get a different berry every time I sniffed. The berries were done nice! Tastes of the same berries with some light rye bread in tehre as well. Light tart finish. Good thing I like all the types of berries in this one.

Bottle @ Kolding Shorts Tasting, 18.09.08.
Pours a great, ruby red with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has clear, great notes of berries. Especially blueberries and raspberries. Pleasant dry mouthfeel, low carbonation. Flavour is very nice, good fruitiness. No trace of the alcohol. Light fruity tartness. Incredibly elegant beer.

Bottle thanks to Steve at the Hopcat. Cloudy, soft ruby color with small beige head. Aroma is a lot of berries with sour grapefruit, a little earthy, sweet and sour aroma, citrus, a little dirty and a little nice. Flavor is big berry, a little sour but the same sort of earthiness as the aroma with grapefruit as well. Medium and creamy body. Awesome, unlike any fruit beer I’ve had before. You can feel a little bit of warming but it doesn’t have any sort of alc burn that you might associate with it.

courtesy of the Shorts tasting night group. early ’07 bottle. bottle#543 Pours a puree reddish mesh of berrie. Aroma was indeed intense in berries, not getting too much fruit tartness but just berry goodness where all the berries added to an overall sublime fruit bomb. Flavor, strong puree mesh of berries with hints of spices, some yeast not too much tartness and sourness. Overall beer could score a little higher if it was not for the berries being almost too much. Berries were there but could not really put on apart from each other.

750 ml bottle - courtesy of a kind soul at the HOTD Dock Sale; pours hazy, dark orange with creamy white head; a fruity nose of strawberry, blueberry, herbs and wood; lovely soft texture and plenty of fruity tartness going down; super smooth and tasty; i agree with short’s, this beer is sexy ;)

Hazy amber pour, some reddish brown hues. Fresh creamy berry aroma. Nice and sweet. Fresh sweet/tart berries, creamy sweetness. Lightly bitter fruity finish. Spritzy carbonation. Lingering fresh fruit. Very tasty, but my against the grain rating is a testament to how much I love fruit beer.

750mL bottle at DLD thanks to Yaniv! Poured deeper, hazy brown with a well-retained cap of white head. The aroma picked up lots of darker spices upfront with mixed berry tartness not far behind.. dark and most certainly intriguing. The flavor had lots of blackberry tartness with rising dark spices and alcohol warmth toward the back.. grainy berry seeds ride out the tart, lengthy finish.. tasty! Tart and effervescent on the palate with a dry, grainy back-end.. well-balanced and I really enjoyed the berry component.
