kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Sep 18, 2008 Draft @ Shorts. Pours a hazy, light-straw color; white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Basic citrus and mineral bitterness in the aroma; nicely dry and crisp. Medium mouthfeel: good amounts of citrus, toasty malts, and mineral bitterness upfront; solid, very drinkable presence in the mouth if a touch light overall; filled-out, at least; lots of solidly toasty malts and citrus. Medium finish: lingering citrus and mineral bitterness, toasty malts, and light sugar; nicely crisp and dry at the far end. inultus (16), Lansing, Michigan, USA Feb 5, 2008 Aroma was nice. Appearance was that of a typical mass-produced lager. Taste had slightly more pronounced hops than typical American lagers.
This beer is Short’s entry to compete with A/B and with that in mind, the beer is entirely a success. Not one for me, but great for your domestic drinking friends. bigbeersilove (10), lansing, Michigan, USA Feb 4, 2008 WOOOO! THIS WAS ONE TASTELESS BEER!! i love the fact that joe short was able to restrain himself long enough to make this one. it was tried on many staunch bud light drinkers (yes... we secretly switched their beer) and they liked it!! (with the exception of mikey...hmmph. thought he’d like anything) not my style, but i can see where many people could really like this. milewide (609), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Sep 20, 2007 Cloudy straw color. Hops in both aroma and taste. Better than any BMC light beer. I believe I’m adding this in the right style, but please correct me if I’m wrong
