Commercial Description:
A gentle mixture of elegance and redolence for any occasion.
Northern Michigan spiced wheat ale. A 50% mixture of premium two-row malted barley and malted white wheat makes golden wheat ale balanced with Ahtanum and Cascade hop varieties. This ale is spiced with fresh grated lemon and orange rind, coriander, and black peppercorns. It’s truly a fermented wonder of the Short’s Brew formula family.

At the brewery in May. Orange gold color with citrus and pepper aroma. Strong lemony citrus and spice, malty flavor. A bit of a nice peppery finish. This one is underrated at 3.1. A nice summery beer.

Growler shared by Rogueone. Pours clear amber with a thin tan head. Sweet malt aroma with yeast and lots of spice (cinnamon, clove, ginger). Malty flavor up front with a bit of tartness, pepper and the aforementioned spices. Finishes sorta thin. Good overall.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a growler. The beer is a hazy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of pepper and wheat with a touch of malt. Light body with flavors of peppery wheat bread, malt and mild citrus. The finish is lightly spiced and fruity and the pepper lingers a bit. Interesting and above average overall.

Growler, courtesy of GodOfThunder. Pours blonde with a white ring of a head. Nose is pepper, lemon, wheat and yeasty. Peppery flavor leads off, oranges, wheat, lemon, a pepper heavy finish. Light mouthfeel. Different, but quite drinkable, I like the combination of pepper and lemon with the wheat. It works well.

Growler courtesy GOT. Light hazy amber pour with a fluffy head. Spicy pepper, lemon aroma and a hint of hops. Taste is light and smooth with notes of hops, pepper, lemon, wheat malt. Really tasty, great warm weather beer.

Growler courtsey northenbrews via GodofThunder. This one pours a cloudy orange color with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is full of spices as you would guess with black peppercorns, corainder, and orange zest to go with fresh wheat and floral hops. The flavor follows with the fesh wheat and citrus laying the base, and then followed up by more peppercorn and coriander. The floral hops add some bitterness on the backend. Medium bodied with good carbonation and pretty easy to drink. Pretty interesting beer, and great for a hot day.

Growler… Hazy golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is super spicy – go figure – pepper, English lavender, orange rind. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. The flavor is a bit bland as the spices and peels don’t fully translate from the nose to the palate. There is a very subtle and pleasant white and black pepper burn. Finishes spicy-warm, acerbic and dry. Thanks to northernbrews and GoT for shipping and sharing the growler!
