Hazy medium orange hue with a mostly diminishing head that left ok lace. Flavor is spicy orange, yeast, wheaty malt. Watery soft and light bodied. Leaves a nice crispy spicy bite on the finish. Nice and refreshing and leaves a spicy kick. I really enjoyed it. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 10, 2008 Pours orange with a medium white head. Overpowering black pepper aroma. Flavor is fresh black pepper, lemon, and a bit of coriander. Finishes slightly hot, about as expected for the amount of pepper in the aroma. Interesting. GeneralGao (3076), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2008 Growler imported from Michigan by weepster. Thanks Mike. Poured a hazy light orange color. The soapy white head reduced quickly to a thin lasting foam. The aroma was of distinct black pepper, light citrus (lemon/orange), and pleasant honey touched cereal grain. Very nice. Dry, spicy, and citrusy on the tongue with less black pepper in the flavor than in the nose. The black pepper spiciness warmed the tongue well after finishing the glass. The citrus and pepper combination made for a vinaigrette-like flavor. This might do well as a marinade for ceviche. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub and also form a growler at a tasting. I am not sure why this is not listed as a wit as the only additional ingredient seemed to be the pepper. The body was hazy meidum gold with a white head. The aroma was spicy corriander with the classic oranges. However, it then went downhill. There was a strange off putting scent of carpet spot cleaner. The taste was strong concentrate orange juice with some light peach pits. Not much spice and pretty bland over all. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

The aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, bread, caramel and cotton candy. Flavor is coriander, bread, light cotton candy and star fruit. Medium/light body is soft with light carbonation. ogglethorp (890), Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Tap. Pours golden with a soapy white head. Aroma is perfumey, ginger, clove, lemon. Flavor is all spice, ginger, lemon, cinnamon, clove. Palate is light bodied, mildly carbonated, spicy finish. Terrible, tasted like soapy ginger ale. This basically took up 16oz of space in my gut, in which I could’ve used that space for something decent. Totally over-spiced, one dimension, basically undrinkable junk. "A gentle mixture of elegance and redolence for any occasion", ha, haha, haha, yeah right. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 27, 2007 I’ll start with the aroma this time. As soon as I twisted the cap, I could smell the black pepper. And some lemon. Inhaling deeply, the pepper tickled the nose. Some slight breadiness and yeastiness to go along with the pepper and lemon. Very unique, very pleasant.
Pours a hazy yellow-gold, with an inch of acid-white head. The foam dissipates completely very quickly and leaves minimal lace. The beer itself remains perfectly carbonated.
Tons of pepper and lemon in the initial sip. And in all the subsequent sips. I know there’s coriander and orange in there too, but really, the lemon pepper predominates. The lemon grows stronger midway through each sip, and then it backs down again only to finish dry with some fire from the pepper. Light body with a strong pepper aftertaste.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2006 gabf 06. Aroma is of heavy spices. Taste is of light wheat and very spicy, too much so. Spices are way over the top and leaves the beer very unbalanced.
