Bottle. Pours red orange clear with large off-white head. Citrus, yeasty, soft woody malt aroma. Light body with a slighy malty sweetness, some subtle orange flavors and a decent hop presence, but not bitter hops. Decent.

Jan 1, 2010 Bottle. Pours a copper, burnt orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is full grainy malts and grassy hops. Flavor has a stronger malt notes with the grassy hops becoming an undertone. I also pick up a bit of sage in the flavor.

Dec 31, 2009 12oz bottle from my buddy Steve - thanks, hoss! I dig these unassuming, to-style Shorts offerings so far. No yak hair or wristwatches, just a nice solid pale. Fairly vibrant on the pour, with modest carbonation and a ripe, pleasing aroma. Full mouthfeel, grassy hops and a solid backbone of malts. Some pert fruit flavor in there to distinguish it. Nice and tasty.

Dec 27, 2009 Bottle - Pours a cloudy apple cider color. Small white head. Very nice lacing. Mild floral aroma. Nice crisp hoppy flavor. Very well balanced. Nice hop mouthfeel. Extremely drinkable. Look forward to drinking again.

Dec 27, 2009 Pours clear amber with a foamy off-white head that fades. Aroma of pine and citrus. Mild hop bitterness is balanced well with caramel. A very easy to drink IPA.

Dec 5, 2009 Bottle. Pour is hazy copper color with small white head. Aroma is nice pine and citrus hops with a malty backbone. Maybe a touch of pepper in there too. Flavor is pine and citrus hops with a subtle caramel malt backbone. Nothing unique, but solid.

Dec 3, 2009 This was a beautify looking beer! Massive egg-shell white head that was rocky in the extreme and miniscule layer of copper colored liquid for the first few minutes in my Surly Pint glass. A well balanced aroma of hops and malt yields to a mildly sweet malty body with a huge citrus hop head and a nice, lingering bitter tail.

Nov 25, 2009 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with mibirder. Pours a cloudy amber with a moderate yellow-white head that lasted through mid-glass and laced the glass well. Pleasant aroma of malt and muted pine. The flavor is malt, caramel, and pine, with the pine a bit restrained. Moderate pine bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. Nice solid pale ale.

Nov 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours a burnt orange color with a small white whead. Nose is resiny, sticky piney hops with a light sweet malt note. Palate is firm with a smooth texture. Flavor is sticky hops with a sugary and syrupy caramel malt note.
