Jul 31, 2008 Tap at the ’08 MBG Summerfest. Tannish gold pour. Very dry pine, subtle caramel malt, touch of grapefruit, spice and pungent peppery rye. More like a very dry DIPA. Medium body.

Dec 26, 2007 7-22-06 MBG. Dark copper with chill haze, minimal head. Big rye nose, but not much else. Flavor has a very nice spicy rye, spicy hop balance. Tropical fruit esters show as it warms, hard to pinpoint though. I guessed mango, others mention Very clean and basic in a way, but highly sessionable.

Oct 24, 2006 Alpha King Competition 2006: Poured a dark amber color with an off-white head. The aroma start nice and hoppy with some toffee and bready malt notes. But there seemed to be an off smell. A little plasticy. Tart piney flavor on the finish after a caramel malty start.

Aug 13, 2006 Draught. Unclear orange with a small head. Unrefined piney hops, herbal grassiness, and bread in the aroma. Flavourful, very much so - super piney and bitter with lots of oranges and apricot fruits. Quenching and interesting.

Jul 24, 2006 Michigan BGF 06 Day 2: Clean amber hue with a small frothy head. The aroma has a citric and spicy hop character, rye bread, and earthy yeast ester. The taste displays equal parts bitterness from both the hops and rye base. A bit pineapple and clove as well. The finish a sharp and dry, nice. The mouth feel is crisp and refreshing. An enjoyable brew, I would drink it again for sure.
