A relatively standard brown ale; a little nutty, a bit of chocolate, some earthiness. It’s a lot lighter than I like in a brown ale, though I guess that’s a matter of personal preference.

Appearance: Pours a clear, brown body with a small, bubbly, white head. Smell: Lightly malty, nutty aroma with a hint of chocolate and some floral hoppiness. Taste: Sweetish, nutty maltiness. Again, a hint of chocolate. Some wateriness thins out the already thin flavors. Light floral hops, though not much bitterness to offer. Drying, nutty finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-low carbonation. Drinkability: So-so for a fairly light brown ale.

Pours dark red brown with not much carbonation. Very clear. No head. Smells of floral hops. First taste is bland then floral sweet, then bitter. Light body.

The type of beer for a very hot day. Body was very light, not medium. As it warmed the "nut" flavor came in, but remained very subtle. Too subtle. Re-rating.... nose light nut, with a bit of coffee and caramel.....taste early is light caramel malt, finishes with light bitterness.....mouth feel is light, carbonation makes it seem fizzy.

A well brewed Brown with a very pleasing nut flavor. Lighter bodied which allows for a high drinkablility. Very enjoyable.

12 oz bottles from whole foods in Abq. a more affordable 6 pack than the out-of-state micros, which is nice. pour is very dark brown, but not quite as dark as a porter. red and amber hues can be seen in the light. aroma is weak, with almost a macro-brew thing going on... not very promising. thankfully, the taste delivers a rich array of flavors (without being overly strong or assertive). the nuttiness is there, along with some good fresh-baked bread flavors, a bit of chocolate, and old world hops in the background. there is little bitterness, but just enough for the style. full-bodied and readily sessionable.

From a 12-ounce bottle, pours an opaque dark brown with great clarity but only a slight tan head. Light chocolate aroma. Medium body, less-than-full mouthfeel but reasonable malty sweet flavor and slight caramel character. A bit carbonated but not too bad. Lingering chocolatey finish. A decent Nut Brown.

Pours a very deep clear ruby with basically no head (from a very gentle pour). Heavy nut fragrance, surprise, surprise. Molasses present as well. Flavor is strong with nuts. Might be a bit too much for some as it is pretty distinct and in your face...err...mouth. Actually. I think it is a bit too much for me. It seems to just hijack the beer and take over everything, without allowing anything else to really speak for itself much. Over time though it does seem to calm down a bit...or maybe my tongue is overloaded and can’t taste it anymore. Feel is thick and syrupy. I have to knock the drikability down because of the intense nut flavor and thick syrupy feel. It is so strong that I wouldn’t be able to go anymore than just this one. Nice to try. Nicer to move on to something else.
