Maybe the bottle I had was old... Seemed a little thin to me and tasteless. Not terrible, but a bit hollow and like a stout-light. Somewhat over carbonated...

12 oz bottle Pours out dark amber brown. Topped with a small off white head. A nice aroma nut like a nut brown ale the tast is about the same. Not to bad for a NM brew.

From a 12 oz. long neck bottle with no freshness date. Poured a ruby hued dark brown with a foamy, fluffy off-white head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, very minimal amount of sticking. Aromas of raisins, molasses, toasted nuts, a soft caramel and a bit earthy. Good, even, steady carbonation and a lightly crisp, smooth light bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant tasting, a nice nuttiness and soft caramel, a subtle raisin and molasses, lightly earthy and leafy hops, and a toasted nuts, soft caramel finish. A nice brown ale from New Mexico, very enjoyable.

Bottle. Has a sweet malty aroma along with some nut and caramel. Body is dark with a red hue and disipating head. Flavor was mostly sweet malt but also had a mild roast and bitterness to it. Medium body blend that was smooth on palate and left a somewhat dry roasted coffee aftertaste on the palate.

Bottled. Smells great with a full, malty aroma dominated by malts. Appearance is clear, brown with a small head and little lace. Flavor was a let down after the nice aroma. The front is nice with nuts and caramel and chocolate, but the finish is watery and blande. Body wasn’t so great.
