Beer is always the best souvenir, it’s a liquid post card. Pours a light chestnut color with a thin beige head. Pleasant roasty nut aroma. Flavor of brown sugar, nuts and hops with a good dry finish. A good New Mexican beer. ziabeerman (3), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 12, 2008 A well brewed Brown with a very pleasing nut flavor. Lighter bodied which allows for a high drinkablility. Very enjoyable. Brodie (540), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA

Clear ruby-brown color, thin off-white head. Sweet, nutty, malty flavor, no hops detectable. Medium body, smooth. One of the best examples of a brown ale I’ve tried. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2003 Deep ruby auburn color. Aroma is very nutty with TONS of caramel, almost like unfermented caramel malt with lots of coffee and chocolate notes to boot, very rich for a nut brown, almost like fresh made wort mixed in the end. Flavor is a little more bitter but the rich caramel and chocolate is very present. Finish was wet and slightly sweet and bitter. Overall this is a great nut brown with lots of good flavors associated with the style. The toffee/caramel notes in this one are exceptionally well pronounced. Thanks dmwhal! npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
