Beautiful clear gold color, topped by a pale cream head. A wonderful spicy aroma to this beer, some saaz would be my guess. A wonderful spicy hop flavor, bitter in the finish, with a nice lightly sweet malt expression that carries through the whole way. Nice clean and crisp like a good pils should be. I am quite impressed with this beer.

Big thanks to Tanner Tavern Boys for sending this one! Very pale yellow, slight head. Faint bread aroma, with a touch of a floral note. So far, uninspiring. The taste, however, blew me away. Perfect balance, starts off with honey, turns into a delightful floral bitter hoppiness, and fades slowly into a honey accented, yet dry finish. An extremely well done pils. Highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of the style, or for those who want to see just how good a pils really can be.

Just tried this one this afternoon. Not knowing what to expect, it was a most pleasant surprise. It’s just more proof (in my mind, at least) that New Mexico is capable of producing both fine food and drink.

This beer rocks. I am not a huge fan of Pilseners. However, this beer is the best pilsener I have ever tasted... including Urquel. I hope dissing Urquel is not what ends up sending me to hell.

Bottle. Pours a light golden yellow color, just a touch hazy. Nice white head fades out to a film. Some lacing. Very nice hoppy aroma with notes of malt. Flavor is quite good. Almost a pleasant lemon zest quality to it. Crisp. Pleasant hops throughout. Nice malt balance. Very well done. Thanks Eric!!

Thanks Very much to WhaleMan for sending me this unexpected Western Pils!

Pours with a beautiful golden body and a creamy white head. The aroma has some lovely notes of citrus, mostly lemon; suggestions of cut grass, orange blossom honey…very fragrant and tantalizing! Geez!! The flavor and palate texture are absolutely superb! The flavor brings a nice biscuity maltyness, very buttery with notes of lemongrass in the finish! This Pils would match perfectly with a Japanese meal! – This is far and large the best example of a Pilsner I’ve ever had, Tremendous!

bottle-WOW-could be the best pilsner i have ever had! the aroma was full of european hops. nice color, yellow golden pilsner-nice body-full and thick with lots of hops-citrus/pine/spice. nice brew!!! ReRate-rating unchanged, but i would like to add some notes to this one. pours very pale yellow with a nice sudsy head. aroma of haygrass, noble hops and slightly sour. flavors are kinda opposite for most pils-hops up front with the haygrass flavors, finishing lemony with some nice pils malt characteristics. Still, a fav for me here in NM

Pours a lite golden with a rater modest head for the style. Aroma of noble hops and the grassiness that can go along with them. Very floral and aromatic. This is really clean with a nice malty flavor and a great hop finish. Very impressive.
