Poured a transparent light amber/orange color, medium carbonation, white ring for a head with several frog eyes upon the liquid surface. Very faint aroma of caramel, hops, and malt. Hits the mouth with high-weak body, malt is very weak, some caramel in the middle, finish is rather non descrept. Compared to some beers that are (cough cough) overhyped around here- no this beer won’t start your car when your battery is dead, take the shit stains out of your underwear for no pension and no pay, and give you the greatest blowjob & swallow as compared to those hyped ones- but it’ll suffice for a bit of fun. And sometimes that’s all you need. FishManLA (297), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 13, 2009 On draft at WOW on Highway 59 in Mandeville, LA. Poured a dark amber color with a medium sized head with reasonable persistence. Nose had a bready quality but also metallic undertones. Taste suggests that the keg may have been old since there was a distinct aluminum note in the taste. Other than that, there was a maltiness that would have been pretty nice if it wasn’t for the aluminum. That aluminum dominated the finish. WOW had just gotten the keg in so, if the problem was an old keg, the blame must rest with the brewery’s distribution. A shame. I may try this again at another place and another time to see if a fresher sample can be had. blutt59 (2147), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 27, 2009 12 oz. bottle. 5.2% ABV per the brewery’s website. Pours a thin head, with slight lacing, over a clear dark amber (SRM 15) body.....nose of light malts, including a bit of caramel, bit of bread.....taste is very light malts with a bit of hop bitterness.....mouth feel is light and watery, carbonation medium. This needs more malt, and higher hops. I can tell it is an Amber, but can also tell why Uncle Sam might be trying to keep it under wraps. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Thanks to Raoul for this beer. Clear bronze pour with little head. Malty nose with honey and caramel. Overall a pretty good amber, but needs a bit more body and hop flavor. agillespie81 (203), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Amber color...thick, fluffy head, though it laces poorly. Good malt nose, with subtle hints of caramel. Profile of the aroma is enhanced in the front...mouthfeel has just a slight crispness. Continued malt flavor in the back, yet much more watered down. Finish is long and dry. Pretty decent effort with this amber...just seems to be lacking some in body and flavor. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway

Innbydende maltaroma ispedd litt aprikos.
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 30, 2009 A competent effort, but not much more. A little weaker than I’d expect from an amber ale, which is really disappointing. An entirely meh-worthy beer.
