My expectations weren’t all that hight going into this beer. There wasn’t much head on this one, but it was a dark amber color. I did enjoy the malty aroma and taste. All in all a surprisingly good beer all things considered.

Pours a nice dark amber with a minimal off white head. Nice sweet malty aroma. The flavor is a nice mild malty sweet, with a little carbonation and a slight metallic flavor on the finish. All in all not the worst gimmick beer I have had, but not the best.

Draft pint at the Route 66 Microbrewery Bar in ABQ airport, 9/20/06: Dark bark with a tan head. Woody and filling with just a hint of fruity swirl in the finish. Good breakfast beer!

I love Carizozo, NM, so it brings tears to my eyes to have to give this such a low rating. Very bland, hits slightly roasty or burnt, finishes watery. Pour was amber, no head. Unbearably thin bodied. Not much aroma, slight nuttiness, but everything about this was bland. Aliens have shitty taste in beer.

On Tap. Pours out a darker amber topped off with a small light tan head. There was very little tast in this one.

So... the aliens drink beer? Then they must come in peace! Good malty aroma with just a hint of chocolate. Good malty taste and a decent balance with the bitterness. Metallic hints that you tend to get with ambers. Not bad.

Musty caramel aroma. Watery body. Flavors of honey, caramel, a bit of marzipan. Finishes with some astringency and sweetness.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber with minimal to no head. Very little carbonation visible. Pretty foul grainy aroma with some caramel sweetness and toasted notes. Flavor seems to be pretty oxidized, I checked the bottle for a date, but all I could find was a code. Beyond that, what I could taste was fairly sweet and unremarkable. Mouthfeel is thin with minimal carbonation. I’m hoping this is just a little old, because it’s clearly not a good beer. Drank about 3-4 ounces and drain poured the rest.
