Jan 11, 2005 I detected the aroma of an English hop, very light, mixed with the light almost sweet malt nose. The color is beautiful a medium amber with a hint of red that’s very bright and well filtered. An off-white head that dissipated quickly. A mostly malt flavor with hints of biscuit and caramel with a medium-dry finish. Almost no hop flavor up front and just a tinge of hop in the aftertaste. A very well balanced amber. This is a gentle beer. But, according to BJCP style guidelines, ambers are light in aroma, low in bitterness and medium-light in body. This amber fits the description. It could be a bit more carbonated.

Sep 28, 2006 Draft pint at the Route 66 Microbrewery Bar in ABQ airport, 9/20/06: Dark bark with a tan head. Woody and filling with just a hint of fruity swirl in the finish. Good breakfast beer!

Feb 20, 2003 I was suprised at how good it tasted. Smooth flavor and light pallet. Didn't think it was that sweet.

Jul 10, 2004 The bottle turned me to buy it, but it actually tasted pretty damn good. I expecting to get abducted upon drinking it, or maybe it implanted some sort of tracking mechanism inside me; who knows. Anyway, this beer is familiar.. tastes almost like a Newcastle. It is definitely worth a try if you are in New Mexico or Arizona!

Jan 4, 2003 Surprisingly flavorful with big, rounded malt flavors. Big caramel sweetness too, with an aroma to match. Crisply carbonated finish with only a mild bitterness. Very easy to drink, yet pleasantly tasty.

Oct 10, 2003 Bottle. Huh. Grainy and a bit malty, something to chew on. It tastes like it's poured at a baseball game, for some reason. Butter in the somewhat thick flavor/mouthfeel.

May 30, 2005 Dark amber brown color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt, caramel and toffee, somewhat sweet. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity an sweet. Hops are earthy and slightly floral. Fairly tasty as amber ales go. Very drinkable. I did not see any strange lights in the sky or get visited by any large eyed gray green aliens while writing this review or drinking the beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Oct 5, 2008 Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of caramel and earthy. Tastes earthy and sweet with a slight peppery finish.
