The usual bouquet of pine citrus and floral to be expected in the aroma. Bitter and powerful with just enough malt to balance. radiomgb (1999), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is very hoppy, caramel malt sweetness, citrus, floral.
Flavour is lightly hoppy, caramel sweetness, dry, soft.
Bitter mouthfeel, light body, moderate carbonation.
Finishes long, light hops, dry.
Might be getting a bit old as the hops are starting to fade in the flavour. Fantastic aroma.
355ml bottle obtained in a trade with piscator34, thanks Kris.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 15, 2009 15/11/2009. 12oz bottle from Regional Wines and Spirits. Hazy amber. Sweet, slightly stewed malt. Spicy resinous hop. Nice, and still quite drinkable, but unremarkable. Lacks the spark of freshness and would have aged better without the dry hop I suspect. tnkw01 (199), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Bottle. Reminds me more of a bitter pilsner then it does a IPA. Had great color. Deep golden color, almost an orange color. Taste, well, since I’m a malt fan I would have to say it’s ok. I would recommed it to IPA lovers but I probably won’t drink again. madmitch76 (645), , Essex, England

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 14, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Nice, piney, resiny, syrupy, herbal aroma. Lemon and salt scents. Smells like a coniferous forest. This is what you want a West Coast IPA to smell like. Pours a sparkling brass. Many small bubbles. Clear liquid with just a hint of haze. Large amount of long-lasting, uneven, thick, light cream-colored head. Good, extensive, long-lasting lacing. Outstanding appearance. The hops are a lot more dull, dirt-bitter, and English-esque in the flavor than the aroma suggests, though there is a slightly piney taste. I’m not getting a lot of flavor from the malt. Rather simplistic. Nice, subtle, long, dry aftertaste. Light to medium body. Easy to drink. Anniversary Ale is more like and American Pale Ale or English-style IPA than a typical American IPA in its light simplicity. This is the fourth beer I’ve drunk from a six pack. I wasn’t much impressed by the first couple, and I remain by no means blown away, but it’s growing on me. LordCorkscrew (964), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 14, 2009 A: Poured with an average-sized, white head that diminished to 1/4-finger. Body is a dark copper color, and hazy.
S: Pleasant aroma of average-to-heavy hops, with herbs and lemon/lime coming through.
T: The hops are present throughout, but there is some citrus in the taste as well. Moderately bitter finish that hangs around for awhile.
M: Body is light/medium-bodied, with a creamy texture and average carbonation.
D: As usual, a very good entry from Sierra Nevada. Solid across the board. Yet another brewing company I wish I had normal access to. Sigh.
