| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 23, 2008 Appealing citric hop nose. Appetizing. Bready malts behind it. Amber color, thick creamy eggshell head. Lemony hop flavors. Light crackery malts. Fairly significant bitterness. FlssmrBrewAlum (1177), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Imperial Pint draft on tap at the FFF Brewpub. Poured a nice amberish hue, not too dark, with a decent offwhite head that sticks around a bit and laces decently. After the Admiral, it was harder to get a bearing on this brew’s hoppiness. Aromas are lighter, pine and citrusy, a very nice hoppy bouquet. Taste is similar, nice piney resinous character with a citrus appeal. Balanced with the malt well, although it’s not a bomb, so I shouldn’t think that would be too hard. Nice bitter finish. Good, sessionable, but not top shelf. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Pours dark copper, thick, creamy head. Strong lacing down the glass. Nose of piney hops. Taste is very piney, citric, hoppy, spicy, tingles the tongue. Smooth, long lasting spice finish. Good carbonation, relatively easy to drink. Excellent, excellent beer, highly recommended. I will be buying again. RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2008 12 oz bottle. Piney, resin hops aroma and a persistant foamy head. Anise notes in the muddled, slightly sour hops flavor. Some sweetness in there, too. Fair amount of malt for an IPA. It’s a good beer, but I’ve never been a big Sierra Nevada fan and for better or for worse, this beers taste says "Sierra Nevada’" all over it. Bella68 (38), Alabama, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2008 12oz bottle, pours orange/copper-ish. Off-white head, pretty amazing lacing- lasts forever. Head goes away fairly quickly. Aroma and taste are hops and grapefruit. I instatly categorized this beer as "Dogfish Head 50 Minute IPA"
pretty good brew, but not up to the standard of Bigfoot barley-wine or regular SN pale ale
