Pour a nice creamy well retained head, nice copper color, good lacing...nose of pine and citrus, slightly milder than anticipated....flavors of hops, some malts, with the typical hop bitter finish....mouth feel a little light. Perhps a bit lighter than it should be overall, but a nice drinking thing none the less. jimig (23), , Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2008 12 oz bottle from Albertsons. Pours a translucent copper color with a big foamy off-white head that had fair retention and left plenty of lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength with pine, green hops, thyme and just a bit of citrus. The flavor has the biter pine taking center stage, with some light citrus, caramel and biscuit rounding out the sides. The mouthfeel is a bit thin but builds to a nice pasty conclusion. The finish is short and dry. Overall: This beer really does go down way too easily, dangerously sessionable. AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Pours a clear dark amber in color. A huge pillowy, soapy white head forms on the pour. Smell is hoppy, very floral and very clean. Taste is more of the hops, but there is a very fruity flavor here as well. Almost getting a hint of raspberry or something just as juicy and dark. Weird. A little bittering in the mouthfeel, but very light and thin. Easy drinking, but I’m afraid I would tire of it before I got through more than two. TheRealBastard (144), The-No, California, USA

Slightly hoppy and sweet, but blend together well. Every year this comes out I need to buy it. Grows on you tremendously, a bit overpriced as well. Overall decent beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 24, 2008 A rather sweet IPA, but still strongly bitter. More flavorful than many of the offerings out there. Tastes mainly of hops, along with some sweet malts and honey. Aroma is woody and dry. renffisch (520), london, Greater London, England
