Commercial Description:
The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

Bottle poured into a duvel tulip. Aroma is solid, but not spectacular. Subtle, but still very nice. Mostly floral. Excellent bitterness, mango on the sides, sort of indistinct hop flavor, but still very nice. Feels a bit muddled, but still tasty. Lots of pine. Balanced, like all SN beers.

On tap at the Buffalo Brewpub. Assuming it’s the 2009 version, but don’t know for sure....I can’t imagine it’s an older version. Pretty good, very very hoppy. Pours an amber-orange with a white head that lasts. Nice lacing. Definitely a pine scent, a little citrusy in the background. Bitter nose, bitter finish...just very hoppy.

2009 release. 12 oz bottle from Crystal Liquor Barrel. Deep golden color, thick foamy white head. Sharp pungent hops aroma, touch of citrus with a hint of pine. Mild hops in the flavor with a bit of pine, finish is sharp like the aroma, bitter from the hops. Solid, unique IPA.

Amber body with a small cream head that leaves filmy lacing. Strong citrus and caramel aroma with bits of grapefruit and pine. Flavor is quite dry and bitter without much sweetness, although the finish is a bit thick. The body could be lighter with more floral hop flavor, this is mostly just bitterness.

2009 release. 12 oz botlle. What a good looking beer, I swear this looks like a picture from Michael Jackson’s (the beer guy, not the other one), books. Great orange/amber color. Medium head. Aroma is hoppy but not overpowering. A great drinking beer if you like IPAs but sometimes just want to have a lighter IPA without all of the alcohol. Good hop taste, very refreshing. A good hoppy beer but not

Six pack. It’s like a darker beer with a lighter beer’s flavor. There’s a bad aroma.

Pours a hazy light golden color with a substantial white head composed of large bubbles. The aroma is quite pleasant and includes hops, pine and citrus. The flavor is has some lights hops but is otherwise unremarkable. There are hints of citrus, but the flavor lacks the complexity and kick of my favorite IPAs.

Bottle 2009 version: Copper golden with a light tan dense head that retains well and laces nicely. Citrusy spicy cascade with a slightly subtle nutty malt (crystal) note. Creamy/fluffy body with mild carbonation. The flavor has evident Spicy & citrusy cascade character with a soft nutty sweetness that provides a silky body. Has a long resiny finish. A balanced and solid IPA.
