Commercial Description:
The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

12oz bottle pours bright amber with a creamy offwhite head that stays well and laces the glass. Aromas of fresh cut lawn, some caramel, and lots of earthiness. A touch of citrus finds it’s way through too. Flavor is grass, grains, caramel, earthy notes, and a slight touch of orange blended with pine. Pretty well balanced but seemed slightly underhopped for a west coast IPA to me

12 oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at Lukas in Kansas City, Missouri. 2009 Version. Pour is slight haze golden orange with a big 3 inch off white head. Head is lasting, as it slowly falls, it leaves behind nice lacing. Aroma of soft citrus and pine hops, nice earthy mineral aspect to the back. Some grainy malt present, though certainly behind the hop. Nice, clean, though subdued nose. Taste has the resin citrus and earthy mineral of the nose, with a faint backbone of the grain. Nice showcase for the hops, nice fresh bright and cleanly bitter taste. Palate is medium to thin with active carbonation. Easy drinking and refreshing beer. Nice.

Nice and crisp, but boring. Definitely didn’t notice anything special here that wasn’t already a part of their pale ales. Very drinkable though.

Bottle (in NZ). Came with a nice big ice cream head. A little hokey pokey in the nose. A nice bitterness on the lick - with a creamy hoppiness, allowing the malt to still come through. A lingering bitterness that nearly had me eating the cone...

Poured from a 12oz bottle it’s has a strong but nice floral and citrus aroma with a touch of pine. It’s appearance is a hazy tea color with a minimal white head, The taste is a little bitter with a lively citrus taste. with a long finish that stays on your mouth. Over all i thoughtit was a nice refreashing beer and would recommend it for a try.

Pours a slightly hazy amber, with a thick, loose head that fades quickly. Fruity hop aroma, with no real malt. Very bitter hop flavors, without a good body to match.

Bottle from Utobeer market stall. Pours orange with a white head which soon disappears. Nose of citrus, sulphur, vanilla, pears. Tastes of grapefruit, herbs, summer fruits, ginger. Sweet, hoppy mouthfeel. Finishes laden with hops. Tasty.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of piney and citrus hops are easily discernible. Taste is also dominated by some fresh citrus and piney hops with typical Cascade flavor with a solid malt backbone. Body is quite with limited filtration and good carbonation. Well done though sometime too much of one-thing is not that fun.
