My initial impression was the Pale Ale with more hops, but there is bit more to it. It has a hoppy nose and dry bite at the end. A little more citrus notes and probably a bit less balanced (favored to the hoppy side, woohoo!). $7.99 for a six pack. Not too bad.

Pours clear golden orange with a large foamy beige head that lasts well and leaves a lot of lace. Hoppy aroma has notes of passionfruit, grapefruit, caramel and pine. Flavour is also quite hoppy but the malt is fairly prominent as well. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and lots of hoppy, fruity bitterness all the way across the palate. A very nice IPA, a bit unbalanced in favour of the hoppy bitterness, but I still enjoyed it a lot. hawthorne00 (150), Australia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2009 2009 version. Amber, off white head. Low bead. Caramel and firm citrus/ herbal/ spruce hop nose. Quite assertive grapefruit bitterness nearly overwhelms the malt. Thin body. A little unbalanced for me. curly (759), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Pours mostly clear orange with a big frothy beige head that lasts throughout the life of the beer. Aroma- mild pine, orange, otehr sweet citrus. Compared next to a Sierra Pale, this beer is a bit thinner with medium carbonation and a creamy texture. Taste is mild hop citrus and bitterness with good caramel blance. Slightly more bitter than the pale but surprisingly not much more. A lighter IPA and very sessionable. philbertk (101), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 24, 2009 Quite similar to the pale. Nose is piney. Lovely orange beown pour with fluffy head. In the mouth it is a bit subdued but caramelly with citric and pine notes. Decent but nothing spentabulous. slitcher (104), Freeport, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2009 2009 release. Pours a hazy dark gold with a thick of-white head. Citrus hop and biscuit aroma. Flavor has a decent bitterness, but really nothing special. Definately not as good as I was expecting. theisti (1692), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2009 12 oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at Lukas in Kansas City, Missouri. 2009 Version. Pour is slight haze golden orange with a big 3 inch off white head. Head is lasting, as it slowly falls, it leaves behind nice lacing. Aroma of soft citrus and pine hops, nice earthy mineral aspect to the back. Some grainy malt present, though certainly behind the hop. Nice, clean, though subdued nose. Taste has the resin citrus and earthy mineral of the nose, with a faint backbone of the grain. Nice showcase for the hops, nice fresh bright and cleanly bitter taste. Palate is medium to thin with active carbonation. Easy drinking and refreshing beer. Nice. TampaBeer (194), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Nice and crisp, but boring. Definitely didn’t notice anything special here that wasn’t already a part of their pale ales. Very drinkable though.
