This beer was amazing. Nice blonde color, some malt, very VERY smooth. I wish they bottled this. On tap in Danville, CA.

Draught in the Rake. Alround rating: Pale biscuity malt, very fresh and you can really taste the freshly cracked malt, floral and light grassy hop, clean and fresh very refreshing. Impressed by the different aspect of this unusually low% american beer.

On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 4th July 2008. Clear straw gold in colour with a soft, doughy aroma. Nicely understated. Light and drinkable with a subtle, dry hop finish. I really liked this despite myself. It’s less gassy and nicer tasting than lager.

Draft @ Little Waldorf Saloon. Pours a bright, clear yellow color; lightly effervescent; creamy white head, textured, with great retention that leaves a lasting film; great pour, though it collapses after the first sip. Basic sugar, mineral bitterness in the aroma, kind of resigned, but crisp and clean. Medium mouthfeel: lively carbonation, zesty on the edges of the tongue, nicely crisp; wet malts, basic sugar and lots of pleasant mineral bitterness; this has the hops of a solid pale ale; a really pleasant little beer. Excellent hoppy blonde. Lasting finish of mineral bitterness, very toasty and dry. I could drink loads of this.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pale straw colour with a light haze. Very light nose of light cherry esters over a light sweet pale malt base. There is a kiss of citrusy/orange hops. The flavour is quite nice. A little bit bready with a nice fruity yeast and a touch of spicy hops as well. Light yeast with a lingering bready component. Pretty solid.

This beer rocks. This was the eleventh of the twelve beers I sampled while at the brewery. I can’t remember much about it, but my notes state that the appearance was very light. The aroma was floral. The flavor was perfectly balanced and the finish was dry yet refreshing. Great Summer brew. So, there you go.
