| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Light brown head. Brown sugar, sweetness and light roastyness in the aroma. Flavour as well has some roasty flavours, but these are overpowered by the sugary sweetness. Is light herbal. Medium bodied. Has some light bitterness in the end. strangaj (229), West Chester, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Pours a "classic" brown color with light tan head. Aroma has a heavy roasted malt presence. Taste is of medium body and has the truest, but not heaviest, roasted malt flavor I have every had. The finish has nice balance of light hops. A unique beer and would be favored by those who love that roasted flavoring. TheKegergator (241), California, USA

Very good brew. MOre of a bite then a few other Browns i’ve had. Dark in color and a slightly darker than normal color head. Very smooth down with no after taste. Very easily consumed. The smell was good but not very strong. I wish I knew the ABV. I feel it is prob. low. Very smooth all around good brew. brstp (201), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2007 Bottle. Nice dark hazy brown color, chunky head that dissipated quickly. Pretty basic malt aroma with some chocolate. Taste is of roasted malts, caramel, slightly bitter and watery finish. Enjoyable. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2007 12oz. bottle. Lightly roasty and sweet aroma, some darker breadiness and caramel detected along with a gentle hop fruitiness. Medium-dark amber-brown color, clear, with a fine, slight head. Flavor profile is balanced a bit towards the hoppy side, these being apparent throughout as a fruity, bitter and lightly earthy presence to go along with the sweetly toasted and just very lightly sour brown maltiness. Manages to finish well carbonated and semi-dry with a light-medium body. A very easy drinker. BrewerDub (34), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Nice. Poured brown with a nice white head. Smelled of light malt and some hops. Very smooth. Much like their pale ale, with a little bit of a malt character. Nice hoppiness, but mild due to the use of the Goldings. Very nice. Almost like a slightly malty, less hoppy SNPA.
