Bottle at Stockholm Beerfestival. Clear red brown coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Flavour of malts, caramel and hops.

Bottle poured a dark caramel brown with a nice creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, hopps and a bit grassy. Flavor is rather thin malty hopps and caramel with a slightly bitter roasty finish. Not bad.

Medium or less body with above average carbonation seems the mo for this brewer from the few types I’ve tried. This has bit of husky grain and a ton of malt which gives it a dull chalky mineral / metalic taste. Like SN PA and stout but this and the porter I found very unappealing.

Not a fan of this ale. Was nice looking, but left a little to be desired. I found myself wanting more.

How about it - a new SN beer to rate after all these years! This one comes across as a pretty standard brown ale, with a reddish-brown color, medium head, and notes of cocoa, caramel, and maybe a touch of coffee in both aroma and flavor. Hopping is light, as expected. Light to medium body. However, there was something else I couldn’t quite put my finger on, and the best I could say is that it had a "yum" factor...sort of a sweet alcohol type of effect that was somewhat remiscient of abbey dubbel. It was nice and bumps this beer up over most brown ales.

Good, drinkable brown ale. Nutty and malty. A bit more body than Newcastle, with a rockier head.

The aroma is pleasent with roasted and caramel malt, nuts, and some hop. The pour is a moderate brown with a tan head. Flavor is initially nutty followed by a more rounded roastedness and finishes with a moderate bitterness.

12oz bottle poured clear brown in color with a nice lasting tan head. The aroma had some roast, chocolate, caramel, hops and a nuttiness with no one aroma overwhelming the other. The taste was clean with a well balanced body and didn’t have that traditional Sierra Nevada flavor.
