| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Pours walnut brown with a soapy uneven head. Aroma is lightly nutty with roasted malt and a little bit of hops. There is a light amount of tin as well. Medium mouthfeel with very soft carbonation. Starts out with light nut and roasted malt. There is a bit of metallic medicinal taste in the background. The finish has some spicy hops come in, unfortunately it doesn’t completely mask the metallicness. This struck me as a rather plain beer - a bit of a letdown from what I was expecting. walleye (882), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Surprisinly authentic, considering SN’s tendency toward overhopping. Nice medium body, nice English hop aroma, nice all around. Very enjoyable. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 29, 2006 Walnut brown with an average head. Looks great in the glass. Little nose, and not a lot of aroma right off the bat. But opens nicely with that distinctive S.N. hoppiness (but WAY understated for these guys!). Finishes clean and quaffable....wanting you to want some more. Not a bad effort. brownaler (379), Topsail Beach, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 29, 2006 2006 bottle. Clear brown appearance with a large, white head. Aroma of brown sugar and faint chocolate. Has a crystal hop like body with a little vanilla and a bit of malt in the back. Finish is a bit thin and dry. Tastes like a sweeter version of the pale ale. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2006 One beautiful looking beer. Unfortunately, the appearance is better than the rest of its attributes. Still a pretty tasty beer, though. Nice roasted malty flavors propped up with astringent hops. Not the kind of thing you can pound down, but it does pair well with food. Sammy (4062), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
