Tap. Not much to write home about. best feature is a nice frothy head, that lasts. Aroma is predominantly malt, flavors are of malts and a hoppy finish. However the beer is very thin-bodied. That is the big let down.

2006 bottle. Clear brown body with heavy carbonation maintaining a tight tan head. Caramelly-sweet aroma with hints of nuttiness. Noticable EKG bittering alongside a pleasant malting that starts nutty and switches to caramel and some chocolate. The hops and nutty malt work well together to make a good brown ale.

Nice root beer color I like to see in brown ales. Flavor is hearty and smooth. A delicious brown ale that should stand up to most spicy foods.

12oz. bottle. Medium brown-dark orange color with a medium sized offwhite rocky head. Yeasty tinge to an otherwise mildly toasty and nutty aroma. Ruddy, peanut shell nutty/vegetal bitterness character. Slight astringency leads into a slightly spicy hop finish with vestiges of toastiness. Mouthfeel is a light medium, fairly dry.

Clear brown color with a small, diminishing head. Aroma is malty with a bit of nuts and yeast, Flavor is suprisingly hoppy with a lighter than expected mouthfeel. Seems to be very similar to the pale ale with some darker malts thrown in.

Bottle. Another solid brew from Sierra nevada. Delicious malty, nutty, warm flavor. Nice dark brown color with an off-white head. Smooth and balanced. Very tasty. Sierra Nevada has always been solid all around.

Bottle. Brown color. Nutty flavor, with a pleasant malty flavor. A little dry, but pleasant none the less.

Medium brown with minimal head. Aroma has muted nuttiness and nothing else. Flavor much the same with a very astringent finish. Not very impressed.
