The aroma was a nutty, malt, roast smell. The taste contained more hops than I expected. A nutty finished completed the taste. Maria (6265), Thisted, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Bottle at Brygghuset, Vimmerby. Quite decent. Some hoppy notess in an otherwise malt-dominated aroma. Quite thin body. Not that great actually, the weakest beer I’ve tried (so far) from Sierra Nevada. Wouldn’t search this one out again. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 14, 2007 Pours a nice clear amber with off white head. It ahs a mild aroma of roasted malts and hints of a hoppy floral bouquet and slight astringency. The taste starts with a carbonated boost of mild hop bitterness, astringency and dusty maltiness. Later a richer roasted malt and caramelized malt flavor surfaced. The start seemed a bit sharp the style. johndoughty (2156), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 14, 2007 Brown and nutty with a smooth texture. No carbonation and a reasonable amount of body. Quite smooth. A nice if not outstanding brown ale. Boutip (2367), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Monger: Poured a deep brown color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with light hops. Taste is dominated by caramel and light molasses malt with a clean dry finish with some light hops. Body is pretty full for the style with some good carbonation. I thought this was very good for a style, which is too often boring.
