On tap at The Brew Kettle, 2008 vintage. Pours a dark amber with a decent white head. Aroma is nutty and grain with earth notes and subdued hops. Flavor is malt, grain, wet grass and earth. Palate is ok. Meh.

Very solid, at first i thought it was a hopped up amber or brown, being a christmas type beer. The body is definetly solid and the hops are strong but well balanced. It is a bitter and strongly flavored beer. Drinkable and oddly well suited for the season being an ipa.

Bottle. A hazy amber color with a frothy white foam head. A big pine hop aroma,some grapefruit,and a touch of spice.Flavor is of the same piny,and citrus hops,an underbalance of sweet malt leaves a big hop flavor, with maybe a hint of rasins ,and a dry finish. A nice smooth mouthfeel ,very drinkable. A solid IPA for sure

~Pours a hazy light amber color with fluffy white head. ~Sweet fruity spice scent with plenty of citrus hops ~Grapefruit hop flavor with plenty of malts for balance. ~Medium feel, bitter dry finish. ~A hoppy delicious brew.

Pours a nice ruby/amber color with a good finger worth of off-white head. Aroma is massive pine hops, a little malt an a touch of citrus. Flavor is big pine hops. . . really bitter. There is a bit of sweet malt in there, but not quite enough to balance the hops presence. The mouthfeel on this one is just a big bitter hop bomb, but not in a good way.

Smell is hoppy pine and grapefruit. Taste is hoppy with a mild malt backbone. Some cherries and toast flavor. It is good. It is very good.

08 Draft. Pour is light redish amber with a thick frothy head. Aromas of piney hops, citrus, sweet malt, and some fruit. Flavor is hops upfront and throughout. Some nice malt presence also. Body seemed to be somewhat thin and watery. Overall a great brew.

Amber pour from bottle. Amber color, spicy caramel flavor with hoppy bite. Not a fan of winter beers, but this one really did not hit home with me.
