Pours an amber orange with lots of carbonation that leads to a head that lasts through most of the glass. Aroma is a bit generic but with some citrus. Flavor is fairly solid citrus with some spice. A solid IPA. emerica56 (583), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Pours a clear amber color and a minor orange tint with a nice frothy white head. Around the rim of the glass some traces of spotted laceing are left. The nose is spicy and peppery followed by those bitter aromatic hops. The initial flavor is full of pepper and hops right on the tip of your tounge. the beer itself is full bodied and has a lot of pale malt and some spice like clove and orange peel. I like how the finish is not watery, the beer is spicy right up untill the last drop is drank. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Pours a slightly hazed orange colour with a small, but sturdy off-white head, leaving a thick film of lacing. Aromatic hops and biscuity malts waft the nose with suggestions of citrus fruit and honey. The flavour is pleasantly bitter and biscuity with citric and piney hops that aviod becoming too medicinal. It is not as sweet as the nose lead me to believe, except in the finish, which is fruity and grainy. The mouthfeel is dominated by harsh carbonation and has a slightly slick, medium body. The finish is dry and warming, leting you know the presence of the increased abv. Jblauvs (600), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

Few days are happier in late fall than the day SNCA shows up in the local retailer’s cooler. I wish I had the willpower to store it and savor it... but sadly I do not. Only the sad, dry, empties remain in my bin by mid January. A definite "Do Not Miss"! Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Now this is exceptional. At BeerBistro I was proffered a well-priced bottle of this ’cellar selection’ that is quite ready to drink immediately for maximum hop fullness. Heavy pour with deep orange color and a sticky cap, releasing aromas of spicy hops and orange citrus. Heavy malt backbone but not sticky, the hops are a concert of dazzling aromas and tingles on the palate. I really appreciate SN for its lush style of hopping, and this big ale takes the whole IPA idea up a notch without getting lost in Pine Sap Land. Simply wonderful brew. robbmotiwalla (50), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
