Commercial Description:
Our ESB blends the best of English tradition with the boldness of West Coast style. A blend of malts featuring British-grown Maris Otter is balanced with the earthy spiciness of hand-selected English and US hops. The ale is left unfiltered which enhances mouthfeel and hop aroma creating a slightly reddish copper hue.

4/4/09 on draft at the ExBeerience. Aroma is moderate at best with a light pnw hop aroma. Appearance is hazy gold with a medium white head. Flavor is sour bready malt forward with moderate roast and a medium citrus hop character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium-high carb texture. Overall, good and very rich, I’m not sure where the light aroma comes from.

Beer fits the style, but nothing spectacular. Hop and yeast aroma. Smooth buttery caramel and fruit taste.

Pours clear orange-amber with off white head. Aroma is yeast, caramel, some hops floralness. Flavor is caramel, straw, light bread, some fruitiness, nice floral hops finish and moderate bitterness. Nice constant stream of co2 as it goes down. Pretty good.

Not too bad at all. Has a nice reddish gold color. Smells of malts and hops, and what seems to have a small hint of orange peels. Nice flavor, a little bit more on the hoppy side. But that is to be expected with Sierra Nevada. Not too carbonated. Leaves a nice hoppy aftertaste wishing I had more.

Bottle. Fresh grassy aroma with a nicely mixed malt/hop body. A little watery and not too smooth. Not bad, but nothing special.

Bottle, pours a light copper color with some darker rust hues. Head is tall and fluffy white and leaves lacing that easily fades. Very bright smell with some grape leaves, banana peel and citrus fruit. Flavor is sweet but dry with notes of pine, toasted nuts, some spice and some caramel. Body is bitter and dry and very light on the pallate with good carbonation. refreshing.

Very nice reddish-orange color. Pours with a pretty thin head, but it sticks around for a while. Aroma is fruity with hints of banana, orange and caramel. Full mouth feel and nice balance of hops.

Bottle. Pours a clear light orange color with a medium to large white head. Spicy hop aromas and a bit of toasted malt. Thin to medium bodied, and a bit sweet, with some hop flavor coming through Ends with a little bit of a burnt grain flavor, and a nice bitterness.
