Commercial Description:
Our ESB blends the best of English tradition with the boldness of West Coast style. A blend of malts featuring British-grown Maris Otter is balanced with the earthy spiciness of hand-selected English and US hops. The ale is left unfiltered which enhances mouthfeel and hop aroma creating a slightly reddish copper hue.

Very nice reddish-orange color. Pours with a pretty thin head, but it sticks around for a while. Aroma is fruity with hints of banana, orange and caramel. Full mouth feel and nice balance of hops.

Bottle. Pours a clear light orange color with a medium to large white head. Spicy hop aromas and a bit of toasted malt. Thin to medium bodied, and a bit sweet, with some hop flavor coming through Ends with a little bit of a burnt grain flavor, and a nice bitterness.

Nose is floral and somewhat yeasty. Crisp mouthfeel with lots of carbonation. Bitter hops, but not overdone. Caramel malts and a bit thick without being syrupy or heavy. Pretty tasty!

Sample of weeAnaPs on March 26, 2009. Wow, had it before, can’t believe I’ve never rated this. Clear amber-orange color with a great white frothy head. Malty aroma, then the hops hit as you drink. Thick, almost syrupy malt and sweet Maris Otter lusciousness on the tongue. Great mouthfeel and finish... I think I like this more than the Pale.

Aroma is earthy, definately can smell finishing hops. Color is reddish copper. Tastes of spices and caramel. Mouthfell is thick and carbonated. An interesting mix of an English and West Coast stlye ales.

Clear amber with a light tan head. Mild spicy and piney hop aromas. Medium body. Decent bitter hoppy flavors on a sharp caramel malt base. Decent enough
