Mar 1, 2009 Pours out a light, clear amber color with a moderate white head. Aroma of some floral and citrus hops with a decent malty background. Taste is crisp citrus/floral hops, some biscuity/bready malt and some sweet notes also. Overall I don’t usually care for this style, but I liked this one quite a bit.

Mar 1, 2009 From a 12oz bottle this 2009 brew pours a reddish hue with a nice white head and plenty of lacing. Aroma of pine, ctirus and grasses. The taste is a nice hoppy flavor with citrus and malty grains rounding out the taste. Nice, smooth drinkable beer. I have never been disappointed by Sierra Nevada.

Feb 27, 2009 Lot of background hoppyness, problem is the malt presence is strange, kind of bland/salty. Something bugged me on the finish, it was okay, but it was missing something to make it good.

Feb 27, 2009 Bottle appropriated from ajm after leaving it in my fridge. Pours a bright copper color with a trim beige head. Smells of pine and grapefruity hops. Tastes the same with a strong amount of flour and malt added to the flavor. Seems true to the style, but an element of sweetness would really improve this. Crisp and refreshing.

Feb 25, 2009 Beer pours deep golden to light amber with an off white head. Aroma is of cirturs hops. Flavor is wonderful consisting of american citrus hops which balances perfectly with the sweet maltiness. Beer is intially reminisant of an IPA but finishes very clean with no residual bitterness. Overall the beer is great. I’m definately going to grab more before it’s off the shelfs.

Feb 22, 2009 This was purchased in Blacksburg, Vrginia while visiting Virginia Tech. The Sierra Nevada beers are an excellent family of brews. The APA ia a special beverage. The ESB poured copper in color with a nice head with some lacing. The beer had medium body and excellent bitterness. The finish was smooth and slightly bitter.

Feb 22, 2009 I like bitters. I like Sierra Nevada. Needless to say, I like this one a lot. It looks great and and tastes good as well. As others have noted, it is a bit light and bubbly in terms of mouthfeel but I thikn you won’t be disappointed.

Feb 18, 2009 Orange copper pour with off white head. Smells of toasted bready malt, caramel, earthy hop, and a soapy fruitiness. Almost skunky. Tastes of citrus and malt well balanced, with great mouthfeel and very bitter finish. Very drinkable. Par for the course for SN.
