Pleasant lightly bitter citrus and floral flavor, with a nice bitter finish. Refreshing and satisfying. afireinside96 (837), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Bottle served in a shaker glass. Pours light amber topped by a half inch of lasting head. Lots of grass on the nose along with a touch of toffee. Does a fair job of replicating English "character". Flavor is somewhat grassy, caramel, and earth. Way more bitter than your average ESB with a thinner body. Even thoguh this is the first time I have ever had this beer it feels very familiar though not really reminiscent of other ESBs more like Sam Adams Boston Lager. It isn’t bad but if I want an ESB this is not what I would be looking for. inkubus27 (250), Highland, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Pours a nice copper color, has a better aroma and taste once it warms a bit. Aroma of biscuit, toast, caramel. Flavor is about the same. Has a harsh lingering bitterness that’s not too appealing. Seems very similar to the Pale Ale, just different malts and hops. watson1977 (272), , Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours burnt amber with a white head. Floral hops in the nose, and a touch of caramel malt. Flavor has primary sweetness along with English hops and tea. Another solid brew by Sierra Nevada, though not as exciting as their other offerings. davidajensen (31), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
