Feb 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a coppery amber with a decent head. Aromas are weak and caramel malt based with a touch of grass and a hint of bandaid. This has quite a heavy malt presence to it... caramel malts with a bit of an earthy side to it and a little bit of cardboard. Just a little bit of grass and pepper hops help balance things, but I’m just not diggin’ it.

Feb 13, 2009 Pours a copper color with an amber hue.
Ester aroma of mild pine with caramel malt in the background.
Eyewater tea flavored malt with a hint of over ripe grapefruit hop taste, yet well balanced.
Light to medium bodied palate with a reinous feel and lively and soft carbonation.
Very drinkable session beer that is on the lighter side of the style.

Feb 10, 2009 Bottled. An amber beer with some floating sediment under a huge beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as grassy hoppy notes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hops, lending it elderflowers and grass, with some caramel. The body is thin.

Feb 8, 2009 Bright red orange in color and a little cloudy with a small head. Aroma is a little weak, but what is there is fresh, crisp, and hoppy. Flavor is of hops, citrus, apricot and a little grass.

Feb 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear, light amber color with a medium, white, frothy head. Aromas of citrus, spruce, and a bit of malts. Creamy initial texture with a slick finish, moderate carbonation. Flavors of hops to start (bitter), then a nice roasted malty taste. Very nice beer for spring.

Feb 8, 2009 On tap at some dump in Oakland. Amber-copper color with a white head. Aroma is sweet malt, light fruits, and hops. Flavor is malty and crisp with citrus and fresh-tasting hops. Pretty average mouthfeel for the style, but the hops set it apart from most of the English examples.

Feb 8, 2009 12 oz bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Copper color. Sweetish, toffeish and fruity aroma with some orange marmelade and lemon. Dryer malty flavor with toffee, minerals, some biscuity maltiness, some orange marmelade and some lemon. Rounded and drinkable. Has Sierra Nevada houseflavor with fairly restrained fruitiness and biscuity maltiness. Could have more of these ESB elements.
