| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2009 Bottle. The beer pours a hazy orange-golden body under a quite small, off-white head. Caramel, a little touch of beefstock, and a pleasant hop-profile in the aroma. The flavor is a tad better than the aroma, more pronounced, and with the same malty and hoppy profile. Lasting hoppy finish with some bitterness, but more fruity. Some caramel sweetness too. Full-bodied. A nice and quenching beer. (081031) cgarvieuk (4201), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Bottled. A slightly hazy dark copper coloured beer with an off-white pool of bubbles for a head. A nice piney hoppy aroma. Same in the mouth with some nettles and spicy hop. Decent bitterness and certainly a US take on the style ESB. Nice.
