Commercial Description:
Our ESB blends the best of English tradition with the boldness of West Coast style. A blend of malts featuring British-grown Maris Otter is balanced with the earthy spiciness of hand-selected English and US hops. The ale is left unfiltered which enhances mouthfeel and hop aroma creating a slightly reddish copper hue.

Single from Total Wine. Copper beer with an off white head. Nice aroma of flowery, perfumy hops. Flavor is a sweet pale malt base that dries out with English and citrus hops. Light bodied but fairly hoppy and toasty. A rather odd combination that took me a while to get used to, but still very drinkable and interesting. Good but not great.

12oz. Pleasant nose- pine, dough, and spice. Mouth wasn’t overly impressive, not too much depth but rather crisp and refreshing. Piney hops and spice. Im not a big fan of this.

Bottle. Pours a copper colour with an off-white head. The aroma is warming with notes of perfumy hops. The flavour has a malty base - that unfortunately disappears completely on the mid-palate. A quite hoppy brew with some notes of grapefruit zest. The finish is salty and quite bitter. I’m not overly impressed by this brew.

08-12oz bottle-pours a retaining off white head and slightly hazed gold color. Aroma is medium malt, secondary citrus-lemon hops. Taste is medium malt, secondary citrus-lemon/earthy/spicy hops with some bitterness. OK carbonation. Nice.

Bottle: Poured a copper colro ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Aroma of dry English-style malt with some citrus hops. Taste is also a mix between some dry caramel tasting malt with some west cost hops which provide a citrus bitter finish which clash against the malt. Average body with some good carbonation. I cannot say I overly enjoy the mix between the malt and the hops and this is definitely not the best from a usually pretty good brewery.

My favorite bitter. This special brew is nicely hopped and malted. I realy fell in love with hops with this brew. A perfect bitterness, flavor and aroma. The appearance is a dark tan color, and it’s easy on the tongue.

Botella. Clear amber. Nice aroma of toasted malt, caramel and bitter hops. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has toasted malt, caramel, a good bitter hoppiness and some grass. A good tasty bitter. Bitter toasty finish.

This beer is delicious. It doesn’t smell like pine cones or taste like a forest…gosh. It smells and tastes like a tasty beer! It almost makes you cream your shorts.
