Commercial Description:
Our ESB blends the best of English tradition with the boldness of West Coast style. A blend of malts featuring British-grown Maris Otter is balanced with the earthy spiciness of hand-selected English and US hops. The ale is left unfiltered which enhances mouthfeel and hop aroma creating a slightly reddish copper hue.

Bottle. Slight hazy light amber with an orange hue. Lightly perfumy smell of fruits and some hops. Clean. Not very complex, but quite nice. Light, creamy palate with a hint of grapefruit that dissipates and leave a clean fruity aftertaste with a lingering bitterness. Fresh peaches. Dry mouthfeel in the finish.

Bottle. Orange-copper coloured body. Has a quite foamy and big yellowish head at first but it sinks. Aroma is fruity, fresh, hopy and has some apples. Flavor is caramel, nuts, hops, malty and some apples as well. It´s quite bitter and dry in the finish. I like this type of brew!

The color is a lovely reddish blond with a small white head that disappears quickly. Not much smell. There is an apricot aroma, and some malty aromas. Flavor is bland, and about the same as the aroma. A little bit of lemon flavor comes out as the beer warms. It’s not bad. It’s not great. It’s just ok.

(on bottle) Light orange, whit head. Withheld, soft hopping. Dry herbish taste, waterish finish. Crispy beer, but this tryout on tunig an ale from the old world seems kind of streatched; like spilt up on the malt and hopping.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Amber in color with a soapy white head. Aroma is dry with some floral hops and a little bit of malt. Flavor is dry, grainy, hoppy, and doughy. Finishes rather watery and weak. Not too bad, but nothing incredible either.

Orangish-amber w/ little head formation; however, it did leave a very nice lacing as the brew was drunk. Hop bitterness at the begining moving to a biscuity-like maltiness finishing with a bitter aftertaste.
