| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2008 (Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 25 April 2008) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with notes of toffee, caramel, dark fruit and earthy hops. Initially malty taste with toffee and dark fruit, leading to a bittersweet finish with heavy notes of earthy hops staying at the back of the tongue. Complex, but with nice balance. Medium to full body, fairly sweet. Very nice one, but I would probably have to try the bottled version as well. aubucs (15), Florida, USA

The Big E has a decent selection of beer and I can see it is across the street from my apartment. This beer tastes like a british-style bitter with a hint of west coast hops. The flavs are nuts, honey, and grassy hops. I like it. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
