A bit sharpe hopy taste. Overall a very nice weekday-beer. gastronaut (6), Sweden does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Pours a nice amber with an initialy high head that settles quite rapidly. Mild, malty aroma. Refreshing taste with a bitterness from hops but probably also some from the malt. Rather light on the palate considering the bitternes, well balanced carbonation. Overall a nice, well produced beer but not an overwhelming experince. thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Nice copper-bronze color, thin head. Light-bodied with spicy, fresh aroma. Tasted of malts, hops, grass, and a little fruit, more complex than I was expecting. I was impressed. Subtle malt aroma, definite earthy hop - UK aroma. Head formed well but settled quickly. Good malt backbone flavor with an earthy, citrusy hop bittering balance. Second sip get a lot more of the lingering Cascade character, but the earthy is still there. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad, definitely drinkable. Kalli (480), Falun, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Fainter aroma than expected: Bit of hops, oddly creamy. Yes, I said the arome feels creamy.
Rather full in the mouth with thick malts. Slight roasting gives way to strong hops which in no way overwhelm the malts. Quite balanced, really. Interesting American take on an ESB; feels bigger and fuller than your average English bitter but still balanced and session worthy.
Pour in the yeast and the finish becomes more citrusy. It lightens up the beer but I’m not sure it’s for the better, though. OldGrowth (1433), North Carolina, USA

Good aroma, grassy, toated malt. Clean brownish orange color, Ok head & lace. Bitter flavor. Medium body, creamy bitter dry finish. Nice brew, aroma had a nice sharpness about it... seems like a good west coast style bitter to me. ajbitt (46), , Indiana, USA

Flavor: Mundane, almost like Budweiser. Palate: Smooth, light carbonation. Overall Impression: would not buy again. Unfortunately there are 5 more and the rest of this one left to drink. trayns (242), Beverly Hills, Michigan, USA

Taste initially is nice balance of hops and malts, but something goes wrong. Extremely smooth, but a noticed a metallic type of taste to it,. . Something was a little off on the taste.
