Amber to slightly copper looking with an aroma of hops and a bit of malts.
A good combination of hoppy bitterness and malty sweetness.

Stale laundry aroma - dull. Deep orange, OK head. Pleasant carbonation, crisp in places, but also sticky. Rich maltiness and resiny bitter hops, but also pleasant grainy and fruity sides too. Terribly, terribly Sierra Nevada - they have such a fingerprint. Nothing like an ESB, but good enough to enjoy.

May 8, 2009 Pours darker amber color with a small but nice amount of head. Some hops on the nose with barley and malt in there as well. Light bodied. I like the mouthfeel on this one as well. Bitter taste but gets offset with slight hops, malts and barley. Finish leaves some hops with a subtle bitter flavor. Nice ESB.

May 7, 2009 Bottle on 05/04/2009. Very slightly hazy amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet toasty and caramel aroma with some light floral hops. Sweet caramel and toasty almost bready malt flavor with some dry floral hop background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

May 4, 2009 Copper pour with off-white head. Malty aroma with some spicy hops. Crisp malty taste with some pepper at the finish. Also a bit bitter at the end. Head leaves a nice lace on the glass.

May 2, 2009 Bottle - Pours a hazy, dark orange-amber in color with a small white head that quickly fades. The small head also provides a small amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty with piney hops. Flavor is initially malty, fruity and slightly sweet, but the hops quickly kick in to provide a really pleasant hop flavor and bitterness. Finish is lingerin and medium bitter. Easy drinking and typical of other beers from this brewer... good, but not that outstanding.

Apr 30, 2009 Typical Sierra Nevada. Decent but nothing too distinctive about this selection. Piney, bitter, fruity, perhaps with a touch of peach nectar. Could not tell a difference between this and their Pale Ale. Still, not bad.
