Goodgrief (993), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 14, 2008 Beer pours a pale copper color, very clear with a moderate head and lacing. Faint aroma of bready malts. The flavor was caramel malts with bread notes. Some toffee hints as well. A very mild sweetness and a very mild bitter hop finish. English and american style malts and hops both discernible. An okay beer, not my favorite SN offering, but not bad either.
FishManLA (147), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Jul 6, 2008 Foggy amber colored with a medium sized but rather fast dissipating head and light lacing. Fresh wheat/bread nose with notes of fruit and floral. Bold bitter/sweet taste with grape and citrus notes. Potent hop finish. Tasty and interesting. Todeon (121), Höllviken, Sweden Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. Aroma is fresh. Very nice looking color. Flavor is fruity and hoppy with some caramel notes and a sweet finish. grandridge (105), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA Jul 3, 2008 Not a bad beer really. Aroma is light with hops and some malt. Not quite as hoppy as I was hoping. Flavor is kind of lacking in that the finish is a little dry and lacks some depth. bruno1378 (104), Nashua, New Hampshire, USA Jul 2, 2008 pours a golden orange with a head that stays around. not much aroma for me. tastes like an esb, but not quite as bitter as most. Ethereal (693), London, Greater London, England Jul 2, 2008 Half pint at the White Horse, Parson Green, 21st April 2004 with tashi. Deep copper with a small whitish head. Great aroma - coconut, lemon and vanilla combining with the malt. But what a come-down! Sickly washing-up liquid taste and a sticky palate. Doesn’t deliver on the promise of the nose!
