natejgood (129), Denver, Colorado, USA Feb 23, 2008 Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a light fluffy head. The beer has a slight aroma of evergreens and grass. It is a very light aroma though. The flavor is very light and a little disappointing. It is a little wheaty with a slight hoppy flavor in the background. This is a bit of a bitter flavor as well. This isn’t my favorite beer from Sierra Nevada. It really lacks the flavor I have come to expect from this brewery. It’s not a bad beer, but it would not be my first choice.
Beerman6686 (724), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 5, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color with an off whte head. Aroma was if biscuts, a bit hoppy and some roasted malts. Malty, light sweet aroma with hoppy grassy and fruity notes. Hoppy grassy flavor with fruity and light malty sweet notes. jkaiser (77), USA Sep 1, 2008 The beer is complex and for adults. Not for me, but I am an adult, ?? Aroma of strong pine, hops. Hops is the name of this beer. Pine at the end of the mouth before swallowing, full flavored. Lite head, decent lacing. Red in color at the top and carmel to lighter going down to the bottom of the glass.
