Commercial Description:
Our ESB blends the best of English tradition with the boldness of West Coast style. A blend of malts featuring British-grown Maris Otter is balanced with the earthy spiciness of hand-selected English and US hops. The ale is left unfiltered which enhances mouthfeel and hop aroma creating a slightly reddish copper hue.

Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a light fluffy head. The beer has a slight aroma of evergreens and grass. It is a very light aroma though. The flavor is very light and a little disappointing. It is a little wheaty with a slight hoppy flavor in the background. This is a bit of a bitter flavor as well. This isn’t my favorite beer from Sierra Nevada. It really lacks the flavor I have come to expect from this brewery. It’s not a bad beer, but it would not be my first choice.

Pours a cloudy amber color with an off whte head. Aroma was if biscuts, a bit hoppy and some roasted malts. Flavor was pretty bland, liek all other bitters are, just at least some hops too it though.

Hazy amber color, decent creamy off-white head. Aromatic hoppy, a bit yeasty nose. Aromatic hoppy, a bit yeasty flavor too. Some licorice, lacks on the malt side.

Copper pour with a small white head. Balanced aroma with a slight emphasis on grassy hops. Flavor matches the nose. Balanced and very drinkable.

The beer is complex and for adults. Not for me, but I am an adult, ?? Aroma of strong pine, hops. Hops is the name of this beer. Pine at the end of the mouth before swallowing, full flavored. Lite head, decent lacing. Red in color at the top and carmel to lighter going down to the bottom of the glass.
