Aromas of citrus, specifically grapefruit. Excellent flavors of orange, grapefruit and some caramel malt. Another solid beer from Sierra Nevada. jumpjet2k (169), Austin, Texas, USA

Caramel malt and some nice floral hops on the nose. A nice blend of mild-sweet bready malt and some floral and lightly citrusy hops. Smooth all the way through. Pretty tasty. Aroma is floral hops with some earthiness, and somewhat balanced hops. Taste was much the same. Didn’t really tug at my like their other harvest brews, but it was decent enough. twindog (98), Hampstead, Maryland, USA

Creamy and off-white returns with every sheck of your glass. Refreshing and clean, sweet mild to med hops. Althought light very fulfilling. bigguns22 (113), Maryland, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 9, 2009 Updated: Oct 15, 2009Deep copper color, nice big beige head. Aroma is light, some hops, but more sweet malt. Flavor is, well, bland. It does improve as it warms, but not by much. It has a decent moderately sweet malt backing, but the hops seem harsh, not balanced and flavorful. I expect better from Sierra Nevada. It has a watery mouthfeel, although the finish is nice. Too bad the rest isn’t. I can get the solid regular Harvest Ale in my area for $5, this was $10, at $5 I might not be as critical. Mediocre. Kinz (2220), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 9, 2009 I loved this beer, perhaps influenced by the fact I was gifted it as opposed to paying for it. Thanks to the individual who shall remain nameless who gave this to me! Medium orange, nose of caramel malts, earthy hops, and a high note of grapefruit. Initial flavor matched. As it warmed, the grapefruit flavors subsided and more earthy and floral hop notes came through. An excellent, superbly balanced IPA. ajm (965), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2009 Tap at Beachwood BBQ. Nose of dank hops and malt. Color is darker than one might expect for a harvest. Flavor is heavy with malt - almost biscuity - with light piney hops and a mild orange blossom hint. A bit less than I expected - not a super dynamic harvest beer.
