On tap at the Pony Bar, NYC. Pours an orange-brown with a medium beige head. Nose of hefty hops and some mild malt sweetness. Flavor is nicely balanced blend of hops and malts, perhaps a bit heavier on the hops. Piney, citrusy hop notes with some sweet, malty toffee flavors. Mildly bitter from the hops and still crispl. Clean, tasty finish. Solid IPA.

Similar to the "regular" Harvest, but with a bit more toffee like notes in the malt and a much spicier/pepperier hop profile. A good effort, but still not as good as the "regular" Harvest, which might be my favorite IPA. For the same money as one bottle of this, I can have two of "regulars". Well, I get a "tick" out of it. ;)

Again, nice IPA, I wasnt sure of this one when i saw it, thought it was one of the other Harvest beers, but this one had a distinct character that was very indicitive of S.N. nice citrus and pine notes, and maybe a little apple, bitter finish but just enough malts to make it balanced, really nice, i personally think its better that the other Harvests.

THOUGHTS: I had this one sitting around for a few weeks before I had the chance to try it and boy was it worth the wait. It was perfectly balanced. One of the best IPAs I’ve ever had. Excellent transition between sweet and bitter flavors. There was nothing very interesting flavor-wise, but the flavors were in just the right proportions to make this great. and it sure looked nice, too. I half expected to see a prehistoric insect encased in this beer because it was so close to the color of actual amber that you would see in a museum. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark amber with an average to large off-white to cream colored head that mostly diminished, but left good lacing. The aroma was slightly weak in comparison to the flavor. There was moderate caramel and oranges; moderate pine hops, a little more grapefruit hops, a little less orange hops, a little earthy hops and a hint of mint; and a little apricot. The initial flavor was sweet and light to moderately bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet and moderately to rather bitter with a fairly long duration. There was lots of citric hops (both orange and grapefruit are high with hints of lemon and lime), and some pine hops all supported by a strong carmel-like, malt backbone with some orangey sweetness too. All the flavors were in perfect balance. The medium body was smooth and slightly slick with fairly soft, yet tingly carbonation and a lightly astringent, lightly dry and ever so slightly metallic finish.

Nice big inviting beige colored head, amber nice in color, and clear. The smell is pleasent, hops, pine, citrus, and malts. The taste is malts, pine, hops, and citrus.

This was the "welcoming beer" poured at a recent Beer Pairing Dinner by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company at the Ingomar Club in Eureka, CA, This Estate Brewers Harvest Ale poured a very clear and deep amber to red color with a wonderfully large fluffy and yellow tinged head. Very long head retention and lacing like glue The aroma is citrus hops and is very enticing Medium body and super clean mouthfeel. The flavor is very well balanced between the malts and the citrus hops and the finish is long and bitter. It is hard to imagine a beer tasting any fresher. Wonderful

Sierra Nevada Estate Brewers Harvest Ale is a clear, solid amber beer with a huge, fluffy, yellow head that has outstanding retention and lacing. It has a big, fresh, citrusy aroma. It’s medium bodied with a quick finish that leaves the mouth a bit chalky. It has a nicely balanced, huge citrusy hop flavor with lots of orange and orange peel. This is an awesome beer-- something I would always be in the mood for.

mild fruity, hoppy aroma. Looks great in the glass - slight cloudy orange with thick white head. Carbonated and has good lacing. Smooth and fruity. Creamy mouthfeel. Nice hoppy finish. Refreshing and satisfying.
