Commercial Description:
This is one of the only estate-made ales available in the world today. Produced with hops and barley produced on the premises of our brewery in Chico, this ale reflects the flavors of our surroundings in California’s fertile central valley. By growing out own ingredients, we ensure the finest two-row barley and the freshest hops on earth, from the field and into the brew kettle.

Pours a red honey gold with an off white foamy head and plenty of lace. Mild aroma of flora hops, citrus, and some sugar. Taste is much the same with some grassiness and a nice dry finish.

This was the "welcoming beer" poured at a recent Beer Pairing Dinner by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company at the Ingomar Club in Eureka, CA, This Estate Brewers Harvest Ale poured a very clear and deep amber to red color with a wonderfully large fluffy and yellow tinged head. Very long head retention and lacing like glue The aroma is citrus hops and is very enticing Medium body and super clean mouthfeel. The flavor is very well balanced between the malts and the citrus hops and the finish is long and bitter. It is hard to imagine a beer tasting any fresher. Wonderful

Sierra Nevada Estate Brewers Harvest Ale is a clear, solid amber beer with a huge, fluffy, yellow head that has outstanding retention and lacing. It has a big, fresh, citrusy aroma. It’s medium bodied with a quick finish that leaves the mouth a bit chalky. It has a nicely balanced, huge citrusy hop flavor with lots of orange and orange peel. This is an awesome beer-- something I would always be in the mood for.

mild fruity, hoppy aroma. Looks great in the glass - slight cloudy orange with thick white head. Carbonated and has good lacing. Smooth and fruity. Creamy mouthfeel. Nice hoppy finish. Refreshing and satisfying.

This bottle from bhensonb (Thanks again) pours an orangish brown with a light brown head. Hopps is the nose. This Ipa has a slightly metallic, grassy bitterness to the hopps that is nicely balanced with a sweet maltiness. I didn’t know what to expect from this beer as most of the Siearra Nevada I’ve had is pretty ordinary stuff. This beer is well made and would be welcome in my beer fridge anytime.

Copper appearance with a thick white head. Aroma is hops, not too overpowering. Flavor is pleasantly hoppy with a decently balanced body. Lively but not overpowering, definitely recommended.

Wonderful appearance, but not much in the aroma unfortunately. This is a good beer. Certainly hoppy up front, a bit of fruitiness in the middle. The only real complaint on this beer is that it’s overpriced compared to their other beers, which are almost as excellent but much more affordable.

Bomber from Canals in Pennsauken, NJ. Clear bright copper under a medium dusky beige head with fairly heavy lacing. Straighforward West Coast hop bomb aromas if fresh pine and ruby red grapefruit. Plenty of citrus with compliments of milk chocolate, vanilla and a touch of white pepper strapped atop a rich caramel malt backbone. Silky texture and mostly dry bitter finish. An assertive and well balanced IPA.
