Dec 7, 2008 24oz bottle. 2008 12th release. Pours a very clear amber with a real lazy, small, beige, creamy head that remains on the surface and leaves a good amount of lace. Nice head retention. Aroma is more sweet malted than spicy hops, but there is a good amount of grassy grapefruit. Very rich and deep caramel and earthiness. Flavor packs a punch with a light amount of sweetness and caramel malts at first while balancing out real slowly with the bitter, piney hops. Very fresh, citrus hops that accent this beer quite well leaving a gradual increasing bitterness. The palate is full bodied, slightly sticky, and has a dry finish and lingering medium pine bitterness. Overall, this is a great beer. Fantastic balance. Heavily malted and hopped leaving a simple, but very fresh taste and feel. Damn good.

Dec 7, 2008 Pours clear amber with off white head. Sweet grapefruit aroma. Moderate hop bitterness with mild sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation and a resinous finish. Good stuff.

Dec 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a fluffy head. Aroma gives off a nice bold hoppiness of citrus and pine. Flavor is sweet with a nice balance of bitterness from the hops, with grapefruit and a bit spice. Medium mouthfeel and a shorter bitter finish than I was expecting. Overall, this is a good IPA.

Dec 6, 2008 beautiful Amber pour with a two finger head and lots of carbination. Light grassy aroma. the flavor is outstanding.....slight pine and citrus....but a alot of Grassy and earth notes with lots of carbination and a crisp grassy finish. Kinda thin on the palate. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Dec 5, 2008 24 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy light tan head that lasts awhile. The aroma is very hoppy with citrus and pine. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is a very smooth sweet hop with a nice bitter finish. Not as bitter as most IPAs but a very easy to drink and a very well done IPA from SIerra Nevada.

Dec 4, 2008 Sierra Nevada 12th Release Harvest Wet Hop Ale. Sample from November 21, 2008 beer club meeting. Aroma is fruity sweet. Cloudy honey color. Spicy. Full and hoppy flavor. Solid. Well hopped! A little syrupy.

Dec 2, 2008 Good beer, low on aroma, high on flavor. Not much dry hopping done to this one, but plenty of wet hopping.
nice copper color,with a good head. Big pine and malt flavor. I guess I expected more...but then again, its Sierra Nevada.
And with that being said, they did do a nice job with it.

Dec 2, 2008 Pours a nice dark copper color. Good fresh hop aroma not overwhelming. Huge tan head nice lacing , good caramel malt flavor good balance , not as hoppy as the southern hemi but a well balanced fresh hop flavored ale. The thing that I love about this type of beer is the depth of different hop aromas and flavors.
